What does Uber Eats charge a restaurant per order?
Uber Eats prices its marketplace as a percentage of the order subtotal. As published on 17 July 2026, the marketplace fee is 20% on Lite, 25% on Plus and 30% on Premium for delivery orders.
On a $40 delivery order that is $8.00 on Lite, $10.00 on Plus and $12.00 on Premium. The tiers buy placement rather than a different fee base: Lite appears in the home screen and search results only, Plus adds higher placement, and Premium adds top placement plus matched ad spend.
Plus and Premium waive the marketplace fee for the first 30 days. Lite carries no introductory period, so a Lite restaurant pays 20% from its first order.

What if the restaurant delivers its own orders?
Uber Eats publishes a 15% self-delivery fee for restaurants that fulfil their own delivery orders, against 20–30% when Uber's couriers deliver. Pickup orders are 7% of the subtotal, and that rate requires validated in-store pricing — menu prices on Uber Eats matching the prices charged in the restaurant.
On a $40 order the spread is wide: $2.80 on pickup, $6.00 on self-delivery, and $8.00–$12.00 when Uber delivers.

When does Uber Eats pay a restaurant?
Weekly by default. The remittance period runs in the restaurant's own time zone from 12 AM Monday to 12 AM the following Monday, pays out starting Monday, and arrives in 1–2 bank days.
Merchants can opt in to Daily Pay for daily disbursements, allowing one day plus the usual 2–3 business days of bank settlement, for a small per-day fee. Uber's help article displays that fee in euros and does not publish a US dollar amount, so this index does not state one — check Uber Eats Manager for the figure that applies to your store.

What does Uber Eats charge on its own direct-ordering site?
Webshop, Uber's direct-ordering product, is priced as an order processing fee rather than a marketplace commission: 2.5% plus $0.29 per order. On a $40 order that is $1.29, against $8.00–$12.00 for the same order through the marketplace.
The two are not substitutes — the marketplace fee buys demand from Uber's app, while Webshop processes orders the restaurant brings itself — but the gap is the clearest published measure of what marketplace placement costs.

How does Uber Eats compare with DoorDash?
The two converge at the top and split at the bottom. Both charge 25% mid-tier and 30% at the highest tier. At entry, DoorDash Basic is 15% against Uber Eats Lite at 20%; on pickup, DoorDash is 6% against Uber's 7%.
Uber Eats publishes a self-delivery rate (15%) and a direct-ordering processing fee (2.5% + $0.29) that this dataset carries no DoorDash equivalent for, so a restaurant running its own drivers or its own ordering page has more published options to compare on the Uber side.
Published rates are not effective rates — reconcile against payout statements before choosing.
